So here is the second part of my ten photos of Virginia. The thing is these pictures are strictly of us. No landscape shots at all. I think I have a lot of landscapes that are pretty awesome as well. Maybe I’ll be sharing those later. But lets get started…
Photo #6 – Hayden 6 Months Old
One of the best moments of the day with a baby is right when you take them out of the bath. They are fresh and clean and smell so nice. They are wrapped up in their towels and blankets and you just love them! One night after we got Hayden out of the bath tub we hurried and set up a back drop so we could take these pictures. I love his blue eyes and the blue background! It is so fun to have a baby around! They are a lot of work, but so worth it!
Photo #7 – Arms Wide Open
I love this kid! He is hilarious and is always willing to laugh! He loves joking around and really is hysterical. We were at my little brother’s wedding and we were attempting to get a picture of all of the grandkids. There are 8 and they are all 5 years old or younger. Some of them didn’t want to cooperate but oddly enough McKay was ready! If you look closely his hands are all muddy. Thats because he was playing in the dirt right before we took this picture. I don’t know if he wanted to get his picture taken or he just knew if the pictures were taken soon then he could go back to the dirt. Either way the picture turned out super cute!
Photo #8 – Princess at Sunset
It is now Kennedy’s turn! Kennedy is so much fun to do a photoshoot with! We got her all pumped up for this one for when she turned 5. She knew it was coming. We let her pick out where we were going to be taking them and we bought her an outfit. We had a couple of magical moments when the sun was just perfect. This was one of those moments when the sun was just perfect behind her and the grass was nice and soft. I have several of these same images and they are all beautiful. Seriously one of my favorite images that I have of Kennedy.
What would I be without my perfect wife! She is been there for me no matter what I go through. She is the perfect person for me. I love her more every single day. I also wish that she could feel that love everyday. We have been packing up our house and moving to Japan. Literally the other side of the world! Through it all she never backs down from coming with me. It shows so much of her character to see her willing to do this even thought it will be one of the hardest transitions she has had to go through. She is amazing!
This is supposed to be our theme for this year. We have needed and will need faith for all of the challenges and obstacles we face. Faith is something to hold on to. Something that keeps us anchored, tethered and linked to Christ. He is the rock of our life. If we trust in Him, not matter where in the world we may be, He will never let us fail or fall.
I heard an apostle once say: sometimes things fall short. Sometimes things fail us. But one thing in time and all eternity will NEVER fail us and that is the love of Christ.
